EVS On-Arrival Training, 23-29 Februarie 2020

On-arrival Training concerns only the EVS volunteers doing an EVS service in Romania for at least 2 months!

This event is dedicated for the EVS volunteers hosted in Romanian projects arriving till the deadline of this event. For EVS volunteers arriving in the following months new courses will be organized every month.

What is an EVS On-Arrival Training?

The main objective of the on-arrival training is to introduce the volunteers to the host country, preparing them for the service period and the EVS experience. On-arrival training helps the volunteers adapt to cultural and personal challenges. It allows volunteers to get to know each other and to build a network. Volunteers should also receive guidance on conflict prevention and crisis management.

On-arrival training takes place upon arrival in the host country. It also introduces volunteers to their host country and their host environment, and helps them to get to know each other. Duration is on average five days.

EVS training and evaluation cycle (TEC)

On-arrival is just one of the meetings dedicated to EVS volunteers.

One of the key features of EVS is the training and evaluation it provides, guiding young volunteers through a non-formal learning process before, during and after their period of service abroad. The training and evaluation dimension within EVS aims at providing young volunteers with continuous guidance and support throughout their voluntary service period. Such training and evaluation contributes to the education and development of each young person. It also helps resolve conflicts and prevent risks, and it provides a means of assessing the volunteer's EVS experience.

EVS volunteers have the right and obligation to attend the session while the participating organizations must ensure that their volunteers take part in the Training and Evaluation Cycle (TEC), which is considered an integral part of the voluntary service.

Some of the volunteers will be accomodated with breakfast to Orhideea Residence&Spa. You can check the list of volunteers HERE. So, only the volunteers from this list will be accommodated in this hotel in apartments with 2 rooms (each room has its own bathroom) and a shared livingroom. There will be also 3 persons in apartments. Please check the list and go for accommodation to this hotel. The activities and food will be in Yesterday hotel (the dinner from 23 February also).

The rest of volunteers (they are not in the list for Orhideea Residence & Spa) will be accomodated in Yesterday Hotel, Str. Economu Cezarescu nr.8, Sector 6, Bucuresti

All activities and meals (dinner from 23 February included) will be in Yesterday Hotel.

Atention! Taxi will be not reimbursed, if you choose to get a taxi you will pay for it.

Your participation at the seminar is compulsory for entire seminar.

Accomodation in Yesterday and Orhideea Residence&Spa, Bucharest will start from 23 February with check out on 29 February 2020.

Meals will be covered by ANPCDEFP. Also dinner on arrival day and breakfast on departure day will be covered by ANPCDEFP.

Transportation of volunteers is covered by ANPCDEFP as follows:

- the costs of eligible transportation are: train tickets 2nd class, bus, personal car (7,5l/100km) trough reimbursement after the event, in maximum 45 days from receiving all travel documents by ANPCDEFP.

Transportation of volunteer means the travel from the place of EVS hosted till Bucharest (railway station/bus station) and back after the seminar ends.

The reimbursement form is to be filled in and send it after together with the travel documents in original to ANPCDEPF via snail mail. If you payed travel costs for more volunteers from the same bank account, please make only one reimbursement form with the list of volunteer you payed for.

Important! Please put all original travel documents stapled in order on paper in order to be easy to be seen and check (if the travel documents are not stapled in order accordingly with the request from reimbursement form, ANPCDEFP can send back the reimbursement form together with all documents and will accept only documents properly arranged in order to be checked)
